Riverside, CA - The Gaels fell to the Lancers of California Baptist last night with a score of 10-6 dropping their overall record to 1-4.

Sophomore Amanda Brucia, who scored three goals altogether, scored twice in the third period, trying to bring the Gaels back into the game after CBU scored 4 times in the first period, including two tallies from Whitney Shaw, as they took a 6-1 lead into halftime.

The Lancers kept pace with goals from Cydney Owen, Stuursma and Stacey Rahn, and brought a 9-4 lead into the fourth period. Sophomore Amanda Cody scored two goals in the fourth quarter, but Stuursma's goal helped make the final score 10-6.

The Gaels are back in action tomorrow Mar. 9 for the start of the Cal Baptist Lancer Invite. They take on Whittier College at 2:00 pm and Pomona-Pitzer at 5:00 pm.
