BALTIMORE, MD - The Iona College volleyball team fell to Loyola in four sets in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action at Reitz Arena. The Gaels fell to 0-4 in MAAC play.

After topping the Greyhounds 25-20 in set one, Iona lost the final three 25-11, 25-23, 25-23.

Senior OH Sarah Wiener posted an Iona-high 13 kills while adding eight digs and three blocks. Junior OH Rachel Whitten had nine kills in the loss. Setters Alyssa Erickson and Nicole Tamburri split time at the position and posted 20 and 18 assists respectively.

Defensively, junior libero Allison Nieters had 19 digs while rookie OH Theresa Harvey added 11. Sophomore MB Molly O'Shea had a team best five blocks.

The Gaels continue MAAC play next weekend when they take on Rider on the Road on Saturday (Oct. 3) and Fairfield at home on Sunday (Oct. 4).
