DURHAM, NC - The Iona College baseball team dropped a 12-3 decision to Delaware State in the final contest of the NCCU Round Robin at Durham Athletic Park. The Gaels completed their opening weekend with a 1-2 record.

Kyle Charron went 2-for-3 with an RBI in his first start in the field. He had served as the Gaels designated hitter in their first two games. Seniors 2B

Eric Capowski each had a hit in the game. Passerelle drove in two runs in the contest to lead Iona.

The Gaels are back in action in two weeks when they travel to Baltimore, MD to take on Coppin State on Mar. 6 and 7.
