BALTIMORE, MD - The Iona College volleyball team completed a 1-1 MAAC weekend on the road with a three-set sweet of Loyola at Reitz Arena. The Gaels earn set wins 25-18, 25-18 and 26-24 to improve to 8-7 in MAAC play.
Six ties and two lead changes marked the first 16 points of the first set. With the score tied at 8-8, Iona scored the next three points and led for the duration in the 25-18 win. In the second, Loyola tied the score at 3-3, but the Gaels' 7-0 run was too much for the home team as the set ended with an identical 25-18 score. The Maroon & Gold held off Loyola in the closest set of the match as 10 ties and six lead changes highlighted the finale.

Catrina Warren added eight kills and a team-high four blocks.
Loyola's Jac Bullock had eight kills, Lauren Andersen posted 22 assists and Janet Pressler had 11 digs in the loss.
The Gaels continue action on the road next weekend at Saint Peter's and Manhattan.
