LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ - Rider scored three times in the bottom of the seventh inning in a 9-6 defeat of the Iona College baseball team in MAAC action at Sonny Pittaro Field. With the victory, the Broncs (15-10, 5-1 MAAC) won the three-game series over the Gaels (8-16, 1-5 MAAC).

Chris Griffin drove him in with an RBI single. The Maroon & Gold added three in the next frame as Beck drove in a run with a single and senior 2B

The Broncs got on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning, cutting the deficit to 4-3. Iona got two back in the next half inning as junior 3B
Chris Burke doubled home rookie LF
Joe Torres. Beck earned a second RBI as he played Burke with a double one batter later.
Rider knotted the score at 6-6 in the bottom of the sixth with three runs. They scored three more in the seventh and held on to earn the 9-6 win.
Beck went 3-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI. Burke and Torres also posted two hits in the win. Burke stole more bases and is tied for the team lead with Torres and his 13 swipes on the season.
The Gaels are back in action on Wednesday in a non-conference tilt at Central Connecticut State before returning home for a three-game MAAC series with Siena next weekend.
