Baseball Drops 5-1 Contest Over Saint Joseph's

MERION STATION, PA - Senior Chris Burke drove home a run in the opening inning, but Saint Joseph's added on five runs to take a 5-1 victory on Friday afternoon.

Burke led Iona (2-9) with two of the team's three hits. Sophomore LHP Eddie Macaluso lasted five innings allowing two runs on seven hits.

Saint Joseph's (2-11) added runs in the second and sixth inning, followed by three runs in the eighth.

Iona will take on Villanova tomorrow at 1:15 pm.
