BALTIMORE, MD - The Iona College volleyball team dropped its first MAAC contest of the season in a heartbreaking five-set marathon at Loyola Maryland. The two teams traded set wins in the first four sets before the Greyhounds pulled out a two-point win in the deciding frame.
Loyola won the match 17-25, 25-21, 19-25, 25-13, 15-13. Junior OH

Caris Myles also recorded double-doubles. Spence had 10 kills and 12 digs while Myles posted 42 assist and 13 digs in the loss. Sophomore MH
Catrina Warren recorded 10 kills and four blocks.
Loyola's Fay Lucas posted 28 kills and 10 digs to lead her squad. Jac Bullock had 15 kills. Setter Lauren Andersen posted 57 assists while Kanet Pressler and Kara Schiffer posted 21 digs a piece.
The Gaels are back in action on the road Sunday when they face Rider.
