BUIES CREEK, NC - The Iona College baseball team fell 6-0 at Campbell in non-conference action at Jim Perry Stadium.

Campbell scored all six runs in the first five innings of the contest including five in the first two to earn the win.

Senior CF Joe Torres and sophomore DH Zach Brown were 2-for-4 while sophomores 1B Christian Choman and SS Vinny DeMaria each recorded singles.

Iona's pitched allowed just three hits in the contest. Junior RHP Steve Basile started the game and took the loss. He allowed five runs on four hits and had five walks in two innings. Sophomore RHP Jake Kurz pitched four innings allowing two hits and one run and sophomore LHP Andrew Pucillo faced the minimum in the seventh and eighth.

Iona returns to New Rochelle for its home and MAAC opening weekend against Fairfield at City Park.
