WILMINGTON, NC - The Iona College baseball team fell to UNC Wilmington 19-7 in non-conference action at Brooks Field.

Senior LF Travis Mistretta was 3-for-4 with a run scored and five RBI, smacking a grand slam home runi n the top of the sixth inning for his third home run of the season. Senior C Carmine Palummo had his third straight multiple-hit effort with two hits. He drove in a run with singles in the second and fifth innings.

Sophomore RHP Patrick Ryan took the loss, tossing the game's first 3.1 innings. Senior RHP Alex Fishberg pitched a clean ninth inning with two strikeouts and a walk.

The Gaels continue action in North Carolina at Davidson Tuesday afternoon for a two-game series with the Wildcats.
