NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The Iona College Athletics Department will host the 36th Annual Goal Club Hall of Fame Golf Outing on Monday, June 6, 2016 at the Wykagyl Country Club in New Rochelle. The 2016 Goal Club Hall of Fame Inductees include: Michael P. Hegarty '66, Miki Hogg '06, and Jeffrey C. Piper '85.

Goal Club Hall of Fame Class of 2016

Michael P. Hegarty '66 - Benefactor

• Iona College Board of Trustee member.
• A significant contributor and friend of Iona College Athletics.
• His generosity and support has been vital to the development of Iona College and the success of its athletics programs.
• Hegarty Family Foundation has supported many Iona College athletics initiatives.
  • The naming of the Hegarty Multipurpose room in the Hynes Center. This room supports numerous campus and athletics events.
• 1996 Loftus Award Recipient.
• Chair of the the Athletics Committee; a subcommittee of the College's Board of Trustees.

Miki Hogg '06 - Volleyball

• Iona's all-time leader in career points with 1884.5.
• Iona's all-time leader in career kills with 1536.
• Iona's all-time career leader in blocks with 555.
• Key member of 2004 MAAC Championship team .
  • First and only conference title and NCAA appearance  in program history.
• 2004 MAAC Offensive Player of the Year.
• 2004 & 2005 All-MAAC First Team.
• 2003 All-MAAC SecondTteam.
• Recognized as a "Greatest Gael" in Maroon & Gold Legacy Book.
• First inductee for the volleyball program into the Iona College Goal Club Hall of Fame.

Jeffrey C. Piper '85 - Track and Field

• Track and Field performer from 1981-1985.
• One of the most accomplished Track and Field performers in Iona history.

In addition to this year's Hall of Fame inductees, Iona College Atheltics is proud to announce once again the inclusion of the Donald E. Walsh '66 Award to the Goal Club Hall of Fame Golf Outing. We are honored to announce that this year's award will be presented to Mr. and Mrs. Edward F. Arrigoni '56, '91H. The award is given each year to a person (s) who has demonstrated loyal support and service to Iona College Athletics through exceptional volunteerism.

Such a special day not only derives from the superb landscape and challenging course of Wykagyl Country Club, but also an entertaining evening with alumni, friends, and fans of intercollegiate athletics. Organize your best foursome and join us on Monday, June 1 for an exciting day of golf!

Not a golfer? Join us in support of those being honored by reserving a place in the main dining room, as well as for cocktails on the Upper Terrace overlooking the beautiful back nine starting at 6:15 pm.
