WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY - Manhattan erased a 1-0 deficit and scored nine unanswered runs to defeat the Iona College baseball team in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action at Dutchess Stadium.

Senior LF Travis Mistretta and senior C Carmine Palummo each had two hits in the loss. Sophomore CF Jon Budesa was 1-for-3 and drove in the Gaels lone run.

Junior RHP Bill Maier took the loss, tossing the first six innings of the contest.

The two teams complete a three-game series Friday (May 20) beginning at noon.
