RIVERDALE, NY – The Iona College women's basketball team lost on Friday at Manhattan, 55-33. The Gaels shot just over 21% from the field in the loss.
GAME SUMMARY

Tori Lesko got to the line and converted on both tries. After an errant pass led to a steal for Iona, Lesko hit freshman
Juana Camilion with a beautiful behind the back pass for a wide-open corner-three. Manhattan fought back, but a
Morgan Rachu three sent the Maroon & Gold into the first media timeout of the game leading 10-7. The Jaspers closed out the final four-plus minutes of the quarter on 10-1 run. The one Gael point came from the charity stripe with 24 seconds left.
Â
The second quarter was a rough one for both offenses. The two teams combined to shoot 5-37 from the field and combined for just 10 total points. Manhattan went into the half with a comfortable 25-13 lead.
