NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The Iona College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) has announced its executive board for the upcoming 2021-22 school year.
Men's rowing rising senior Francis Acolitse has been voted to serve as SAAC President. Acolitse most recently held the position of Diversity & Inclusion chair on the SAAC E-Board.
"Being elected SAAC President by my fellow athletes means a lot to me," Acolitse said. "If you told me in high school, or even my freshman year that I'd be a president of anything, I wouldn't believe it. I will always do my best to represent Iona and my fellow student-athletes in the best light possible."
Baseball rising senior Paul Sullivan was elected as the Vice President. SAAC's new Secretary is rising senior Gabrielle Cocucci of women's soccer. Women's water polo rising senior Cristina Chiappini was appointed the new Social Media chair and women's soccer rising senior Taylor D'Alessandro was tabbed as the Community Service chair.
