MERCER LAKE, NJ – The Iona men's lightweight rowing team competed in the first day of the IRA National Championships on Friday.
 
The Gaels started their day with a time trial in the lightweight fours posting a time of 6:37.1 which put them into a semi-final later in the day against Harvard, Marietta, Cornell, Princeton, MIT and Penn.
 
In the semi final Iona finished last in 6:47.1 and will race in the 3rd level final tomorrow against Mercyhurst.
