BOSTON, MA – The Iona University men's rowing program delivered a strong performance on one of the sport's grandest stages, finishing 23rd overall and 10th among collegiate crews in the Men's Club 4+ event at the Head of the Charles Regatta on Saturday on the Charles River.
The Gaels posted a time of 17:44.89 against a competitive 43-boat field that featured some of the nation's and world's top programs.
Iona's lineup included freshman coxswain
Hugh Mathieson, seniors
Jack Allen,
Abraham Ocampo, and
Andrew Catinella, and freshman
Jack Granberg.
The Calgary Rowing Club claimed the event title in 16:16.16, followed by Dartmouth (16:30.02), Harvard (16:38.84), and Boston University (16:45.38) as the top collegiate finishers.
