Women's Soccer Selected Fifth, Three Earn Preseason All-MAAC Distinction

EDISON, NJ - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced the 2022 Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll and Preseason All-MAAC Teams on Thursday morning. The Iona women's soccer team was selected to finish fifth in a tie with Marist, as voted on by the league's 11 head coaches. Kedarjah Lewis, the reigning MAAC Rookie of the Year, along with 2021 all-conference selections Mackenzie Meixner and Faith Preziosi earned placement on the 2022 Preseason All-MAAC Team.

Quinnipiac was picked to finish atop the table, receiving 10 of 11 first-place votes. Rider, selected to finish seventh overall, received the other first-place vote. Iona's selection as the projected fifth-place finisher is its highest place in a league preseason poll since being voted to finish fourth in 2014. The Gaels' three Preseason All-MAAC selections also mark the most for the program ever.
