NEW ROCHELLE, NY— The No. 15 Iona University acrobatics & tumbling team registered its third win of the season in a 262.710-247.860 victory over Presbyterian College in a National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association matchup at the Hynes Center. The Gaels won five of the six events on Sunday afternoon.
COMPULSORY
Iona took the opening event 36.55-30.95 after posting the high score in three of the four heats. A standout Pyramid heat with a score 9.90 out of 10 highlighted the first event for the Gaels.
ACRO
The Gaels won the second event 28.15-24.65 with the Seven-Element heat being the top score with a 9.65.
PYRAMID
The Gaels swept the three Pyramid heats going 9.70/9.80/9.90 for a total 29.40 out of 30.00 points going into the halftime intermission.
TOSS
Iona won the toss by a narrow margin over the Blue Hose with a 26.50-25.25 total.
TUMBLING
Iona swept all six heats of the tumbling portion of the meet, 54.050-50.300. The Gaels ended the event strong with back-to-back 9.50 heat scores. Freshman

TEAM EVENT
In the finale, the scoring for the team event was separated by just .50 as Presbyterian earned a slight 88.56-88.06 event win.
