RICHMOND, VA - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) recognized the Iona University men's and women's swimming and diving programs as Scholar All-America honors for their commitment and hard work inside the classroom during the Spring 2024 semester. The Iona women held a 3.32 team GPA, while the men posted a 3.31Â team GPA.Â
The distinction marks the 29th consecutive semester that the Iona women's swimming and diving team has earned the honor, dating back to the Spring of 2010. For the men, it is the 25th time in the past 29 semesters that they have been awarded Scholar All-America status. This year in total, 722 programs from 417 institutions earned the honor. The both teams were one of 563 teams that recorded over a 3.30 GPA.
Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy and professional development.
