Nadia Andarowski was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. Andarowski posted a 2-0 week in the circle for the Maroon & Gold, pitching a pair of shutouts.
The Watertown, CT native pitched 14.0 innings, with her second and third shutouts of the season. Andarowski held batters to a .208 batting average this past week of play. She opened the week with a complete game shutout, scattering six hits with two walks and four strikeouts in a 3-0 victory at Saint Peter's for the doubleheader sweep. The Watertown, CT native followed that performance up with her third career shutout, yielding Bucknell to five hits in another 3-0 win as the Gaels capped non-conference play with a sweep over the Bison. Andarowski leads all MAAC pitchers with a 1.04 earned run average in conference play and is second overall with a 2.22 earned run average for the season.
Iona concludes the 2025 regular season on the road at Marist with a three-game series beginning on Friday, May 1. First pitch for the doubleheader at Softball Park is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
