EDISON, NJ - Iona University baseball freshman Sean Stephenson has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week for the third time in season, as announced Tuesday afternoon.

Stephenson had another big week for Iona tallying six hits, three RBIs and five runs scored. His biggest hit came in the opening game at Merrimack when he launched a go-ahead solo home run in the top of the ninth, which would end up being the winning run. Sean now bats .340 with a .931 OPS on his freshman year and continues to be the spark plug for the Gaels batting second.

The Gaels finish their season with a series against Saint Peter's this weekend with Thursday's game set for 3:00 p.m.
