James Kemp has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Week, as announced Tuesday afternoon. This is Kemp's second win of the season.
In his final weekend with the Gaels, Kemp produced big with six hits, seven RBIs, and seven runs scored. He drew four walks and stole one base during the sweep of Saint Peter's to close out the year. On the week he batted .600 with a 1.300 OPS, he also homered in back-to-back games. He picked up his season average to .365 and an OPS of 1.103.
On the season, Kemp led the Gaels in multiple offensive categories, including home runs, RBIs, totals bases, and OPS. Kemp set the single season record for both RBIs and on base percentage this season with the Gaels as he earned All-MAAC First Team honors.
