Iona Swim Post Strong Performances on Day Two of CSCAA National Invitational Championship

OCALA, FL - The second day of the National Invitational Championship in Ocala, Florida started with a strong effort by the Iona Men in the 200-yard Medley Relay that saw the team take 19th place. The quartet of Kieran Egan (22.16); Nate Wales (25.35); Wyatt Julian (21.67) and Nick Patino (19.76) posted a 1:28.94 time.

In Individual action, Egan took ninth in the 100-Backstroke with 48.12 effort. The last event of the night saw James Gonzalez (1:43.04); Elijah Decasseres (1:42.59); Tomek Oakes (1:45.33) and Declan McGlynn (1:46.73) combine for 22nd at 6:57.39.

The scores find Queens (549.5), Ohio State (489) and Grand Canyon (459.5) in the top three spots with Iona 20th at 134.5-points.

The championship concludes tomorrow with the final day of competition and the final meet of the Maroon & Gold's 2025–26 season.
