Matt Perper is entering his fourth year with the Iona College baseball program.
Gaels baseball head coach Pat Carey announced the appointment of Matt Perper as assistant coach in September 2013. Prior to joining the Iona coaching staff, Perper spent the previous four seasons as an assistant at his alma mater Western Connecticut State University.

Perper also served as the head coach of the Harrison Patriots, of the Westchester- Rockland Wood Bat League, and guided them to the 2012 WRWBL Championship.
As a player, Perper appeared in over 100 games for the Colonials as a first baseman, designated hitter and relief pitcher. Perper earned his bachelor's degree in communications in 2008 and currently resides in Brookfield, CT.
