Greetings from the Mulcahy Center!

I hope you are enjoying what is left of the summer.

It is hard to believe, but we are already preparing for what should be another exciting year for the Gaels. With new recruits arriving on campus, veteran student-athletes returning, and coaches ready to lead their teams, the 2005-06 campaign has the potential to be one of our finest!

Since taking over as Director of Athletics, I am continually impressed by the quality, passion, dedication and work ethic of the many individuals involved in the day-to-day operations in the Iona College Athletic Department.

I am proud to witness our coaches, administrators, and student-athletes continue to set new standards and surpass each challenge. Our student-athlete centered vision is taking form and we are well on our way to achieving our goals.

With all these accomplishments, it is always nice to look back and celebrate the many achievements are teams have seen. The Iona College Athletic Department Annual Report - the first of its kind - does just that.

This report highlights all the wonderful success we have enjoyed over the past year. It also gives us a chance to thank the many loyal and generous people who make our successes possible. As the cost of running a Division I Athletics Department continues to rise, the ability to raise funds from outside sources remains absolutely vital to our success. The Annual Report is dedicated to all those people who have made that success possible.

My first year as Director of Athletics has left me with a wonderful sense of satisfaction and I am excited to observe our growth as we embark on the 2005-06 seasons. We have great coaches in place to lead our teams to unprecedented success and with a solid foundation in place; the sky is truly the limit for Iona College!

The expectations are high this year for Iona and I hope you will all join me in supporting our fine 400+ student-athletes. I hope to see you all at some games!
