Piscataway, NJ - The Iona College baseball team fell to Rutgers 16-7 in non-conference action at Bainton Field. Sophomore LF Andrew Passerelle had two hits and drove in three runs for the Gaels.

The Gaels scored six of their seven runs in the fifth and sixth innings including a four run sixth. Freshman RF Trevor Hybner drove in two runs while sophomore SS Mike Walraven scored twice in the loss.

Sophomore LHP William Dorsa (0-1) took the loss.

Iona returns to MAAC action this weekend in a three game series with Manhattan.
