ORONO, ME- The Iona College baseball team dropped a 17-3 decision to Maine in a rain shortened 6.5 inning game at Mahaney Diamond.

Freshman CF Dean Dignelli went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI.  He connected on his fifth home run of the season to lead off the fourth inning.   Dignelli and senior C Andrew Wernicki also drove in a run in the second.

The Gaels and Bears return to action tomorrow afternoon in a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 pm.
