The third set was the tightest of the five featuring nine ties and five lead changes. After Marist reached its first set point at 24-22, Iona rallied to knot the score at 24 with kills by Myles and Warren. The Red Foxes finally took the two-point advanage it needed to win the frame on their fourth set point on an Iona hitting error.

The fourth was all Iona again as they opened up an early 6-1 advantage and never looked back. Marist got to within two points at 18-16 but Iona closed out the set with seven of the final 10 points.

The Gaels started off strong in the decider, opening a 6-2 advantage. After a Red Fox time out, the visitors scored three straight points to close the margin to one. With the score tied at 7-7, Iona ran off three straight points to take command. Facing the 12-9 deficit, Marist rallied to tie at 13-13 and scored and continued a 4-0 run to end the match.
