NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The Iona College Athletics Department and Adidas have entered into a five-year agreement in which the company will supply footwear, apparel and uniforms for the Maroon & Gold's athletics programs.
The contract begins with the 2013-14 academic year and extends through the completion of the 2017-18 seasons.
"With Adidas, we've have partnered with an industry leader providing Iona with the highest quality for all our student-athletes," said Director of Athletics Rick Cole Jr. "They are a brand we would like to associate ourselves with, and best positions our student-athletes for success in our athletic pursuits."
Iona College's intercollegiate teams and coaches will be outfitted in Adidas footwear, uniforms, training apparel, sideline gear and accessories. The Gaels are a part of a select group of universities that have similar all-school agreements with Adidas including Michigan, Notre Dame, UCLA, Tennessee, Nebraska and Kansas. Baseball, men's and women's basketball, lacrosse, golf, men's and women's rowing, men's and women's soccer, softball, men's and women's swimming & diving, volleyball and men's and women's water polo will all benefit from the new partnership.
"The strength of the Iona brand, coupled with the rebranding of our marks and logos, will improve from head to toe because of this partnership," continued Cole.
