Teghan Henderson - Women's Cross Country
Senior Teghan Henderson won the 6K Princeton Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 15, crossing the finish line in 21:11.4. She finished seven seconds ahead of the next competitor.
With three top-10 finishers including Henderson, the Gaels narrowly won the race over Columbia. Freshman Gemma Nuttall placed seventh (21:39.5), and junior Rachel Garn took ninth (21:41.6).
It is the second race that Henderson has won individually. She won the 22nd anual Br. John "Paddy" Doyle / Iona College Meet of Champions on Sept. 16.
Up next for the Iona women's cross country team is the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship at Disney's Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, FL on Saturday, Oct. 29.
