NEW ROCHELE, NY – Iona College athletics will honor 2006 alum and ALS advocate Pat Quinn prior to the Gaels' September 15 rugby match vs. Navy. The contest is slated to begin at 3 p.m. The ceremony dedicating Pat Quinn '06 Corner on Mazzella Field will begin at approximately 2:40 p.m.
Quinn, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2013, has been a leader in the fight against the disease. His Quinn for the Win campaign has raised thousands of dollars for ALS research, and he is credited with co-founding the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in 2014.
Admission to the ceremony and rugby match is free. Parking is available in the parking garage on the Iona campus adjacent to the Hynes Center. The match will broadcast live on ESPN+.
