NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - The Iona College rugby team hosted an international friendly match against Trinity College Dublin at Mazzella Field. The Irish squad defeated the Gaels 61-12.

"It was a great learning experience for us today against a very talented and well-coached Dublin squad," said head coach
Bruce McLane. "We hope to use this experience to prepare for two tough squads in Navy and Army over the next two weeks."
The No. 15 Iona squad is on the road the next five weeks starting with the No. 5 Midshipmen and No. 7 Black Knights in Annapolis and West Point respectively.
