Iona Rowing Competes At Metropolitan Championships

The Gaels hosted the events at Glen Island Park

NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The Iona College men's and women's rowing teams concluded their fall season this past weekend as hosts of the Fall Metropolitan Championship Regatta.

RACE SUMMARY

The Maroon & Gold entered three men's events and two women's events and performed respectively all around.

The men's pair began the day with a fourth place finish behind local rivals Fairfield and Fordham.
The men's novice four finished second in a tight race behind Manhattan College and ahead of Maritime.
The men's novice eight finished third in a four boat field finishing comfortably ahead of Maritime
The women's novice eight finished third
The women's varsity four finished fifth in a six boat field
