SOUTH SALEM, NY - On Saturday, Apr. 27, a few members from the Iona College women's basketball team, along with a select number of other student-athletes, participated in an event at the Wolf Conservation Center.
The Gaels in attendance split into three groups and were assigned a specific task. For four hours, the student-athletes cleaned up the conservation center, organizing materials, mulching the grounds, and helping the staff in whichever way they needed. Overall they made the presence of the entrance to the center more presentable and aesthetically pleasing.
Following the event, the student-athletes got a chance to meet the wolves. Redshirt sophomore
Adrienne DiGioia noted: "Overall, this was an interesting, new environment to be a part of, but it was worth the experience!"
