LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL – CHAMPIONS!!! The Iona College men's golf program has won its third straight Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship! The Gaels overcame a three-stroke deficit in a weather-shortened third round at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course to earn their seventh league championship in program history.
Due to over a two-hour weather delay, the final round of the 2021 MAAC Championship was shortened to just nine holes. Playing the back nine, Iona pushed the gas early and got themselves in the driver's seat as the final holes unfolded.
Oisin Devereux, walking along side head coach
Sean Burke, closed out the championship for the Maroon & Gold and secured a third straight trophy raising campaign.
