WEST WINDSOR, NJ - The Iona University men's rowing team entered a varsity four crew into the 2024 IRA National Championship on Lake Windsor. The Maroon & Gold competed in the opening time trial heats and a semifinal heat prior to tomorrow morning's final.
VARSITY 4+ TIME TRIALS
Senior
Hayden Skigen coxed junior
Ethan Megal, sophomore
Jack Allen, junior
Finn Bolger, and sophomore
Andrew Catinella to a time of 6:36.339 to start the day. It was the 30th fastest time overall in the time trials. Washington, California, and Brown took the top three spots.
VARSITY 4+ SEMIFINAL
The Gaels finished fifth in their semifinal heat, crossing after Cornell, Northeastern, Wisconsin, and Marietta. Iona's time of 6:45.890 set them on course for the sixth final tomorrow morning.
