Riccio & Buchen Earn MAAC Weekly Awards

EDISON, N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) has announced its Men's Swimming and Diving weekly award winners following another strong week of performances. Iona's Max Buchen has been named the MAAC Men's Swimmer of the Week, while teammate Dylan Riccio has earned MAAC Men's Diver of the Week honors.

Buchen claimed his first MAAC weekly award of the season after an outstanding weekend in the pool. The sophomore posted multiple individual victories and contributed to Iona's relay success, helping the Gaels continue their strong start to the 2025–26 campaign. His versatility and consistency have made him a key performer for Iona early in the season.

Riccio earned his second MAAC Diver of the Week award of the season after another impressive performance on the boards. He dominated both the 1-meter and 3-meter events, once again demonstrating the technical precision and confidence that have defined his standout collegiate career.

With Buchen and Riccio's honors, Iona has now collected seven MAAC weekly awards through the first four weeks of the '25–'26 season, showcasing the program's depth and early-season excellence across both swimming and diving.
