BETHLEHEM, PA – The Iona University men's cross country team placed 22nd out of 38 teams in the 8K Brown Race at the 2025 Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University at the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course. Freshman
Jackson Jamison led the Gaels with a top-30 finish in his first appearance at the event.
IONA PERFORMERS
Jamison paced Iona with a 26th-place finish, crossing the line in 25:08.8 to lead the team. Junior
Andrew Fogarty followed in 84th (25:52.1), while fellow junior
Christian Audrin placed 106th (26:08.7).
Freshmen
Carter Flowers (192nd, 26:52.5) and
Julian Laznik-Moraghan (221st, 27:06.5) rounded out the Gaels' scoring five. Senior
Caleb Deane (253rd, 27:33.9) and sophomore
Jack Novelli (290th, 28:45.0) also represented Iona in the field.
TEAM STANDINGS
George Washington captured the men's team title with 47 points, followed by American (117) in second and Binghamton (145) in third. New Brunswick (154) and Holy Cross (191) rounded out the top five. The Gaels totaled 591 points, finishing just outside the top 20 in a competitive field.

The Gaels split their squad for their next outings on October 17, competing at both the IC4A Championship at Van Cortlandt Park in Riverdale, New York, and the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational in Madison, Wisconsin at the Thomas Zimmer XC Course.
