EMMITSBURG, MD – The Iona University men's outdoor track and field team concluded competition at the 2026 MAAC Championships Sunday at Morgan Track in Emmitsburg, MD. The Gaels earned eight medals on the final day of competition with four gold medals, one silver medal, and three bronze medals while finishing third overall in the team standings with 106 points.

5,000-METER RUN - BOLTZ

5,000-METER RUN - FAGAN
Boltz won the MAAC title in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:16.14. Cartieaux earned the silver medal in 14:24.27 and Fagan claimed bronze in 14:36.99 as the Gaels swept the top three positions in the event.
Marshall added five team points with a fourth-place finish in 14:48.85 while freshman
Sean Lawton earned two team points in seventh place with a time of 14:52.43.
1,500-METER RUN - T. COLES
1,500-METER RUN - MARSHALL
Tristan Coles captured the conference championship in the 1,500-meter run with a winning time of 3:50.93. Marshall earned the bronze medal in 3:51.61 while freshman
Igor Ouwerkerk contributed four team points with a fifth-place finish in 3:52.57.

Christian Audrin placed 10th in the event in 4:04.30.
800-METER RUN - A. COLES
Aiden Coles claimed gold in the 800-meter run with a personal-best time of 1:49.85. The performance ranks as the fifth-fastest time in program history and made Coles the fifth Gael to run a sub-1:50 outdoor 800-meter performance.

Aiden Coles captured the MAAC title in the 4x800-meter relay with a winning time of 7:37.35, finishing more than four-and-a-half seconds ahead of Rider.
4 X 100-METER RELAY - DONEGAN, TOUBA, WASHINGTON, ACETO

Derrick Touba, junior
Cameron Washington, and sophomore Juan Aceto earned the bronze medal in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 41.62. The quartet finished just .16 seconds from gold and .01 seconds behind the silver-medal performance.
400-METER RUN
Freshman
Jaylen Mozone placed fourth in the 400-meter run in a personal-best 46.91 to earn five team points. The performance ranks as the second-fastest time in program history and improved upon his 47.41 mark from the preliminary round.
4 X 400-METER RELAY
Donegan, sophomore
Jack Bretthauer, Juan Aceto, and Mozone placed fifth in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:15.42 to earn four team points.
200-METER DASH
Freshman
Joshua Aceto earned two team points with a seventh-place finish in the 200-meter dash in a personal-best 21.79. The performance improved his previous best by .05 seconds and remains the eighth-fastest time in program history.
TEAM STANDINGS
Mount St. Mary's won the MAAC team championship with 183.50 points while Rider finished second with 107.00 points. Iona placed third overall with 106.00 points, just one point behind Rider. Sacred Heart finished fourth with 100.00 points followed by Merrimack in fifth with 86.00 points. Manhattan placed sixth with 60.50 points and Marist rounded out the top seven with 58.00 points.
