NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Iona University men's basketball senior
Dejour Reaves and freshman
Adam Njie Jr. have been named to the All-MAAC teams for their standout performances during the 2024-25 regular season. Reaves earned a spot on the All-MAAC First Team, while Njie was selected to the All-Rookie Team.
REAVES
In his first season in New Rochelle, Reaves led the Gaels in scoring, averaging 16.7 points per game, the fourth-highest mark in the MAAC. He also ranked third in the conference in steals (2.1 per game) and was among the MAAC's Top 25 in rebounds (5.4 per game) and assists (2.0 per game). Nationally, Reaves ranks in the Top 100 in steals, steals per game, field goals made, and field goal attempts.
Reaves becomes just the third first-year player in Iona history to earn an All-MAAC First Team selection, joining Tyson Jolly (2022) and Mike Glover (2011). Overall, 31 Gaels have been named to the First Team a total of 40 times since 1982.
NJIE
Njie emerged as one of the top freshmen in the conference, averaging 12.1 points, 4.1 assists, and 1.7 steals per game across 30 contests. Among MAAC freshmen, he ranked second in scoring, assists, and steals. His 12.1 points per game place him ninth on Iona's all-time rookie scoring list, while his assist total ranks fourth. Nationally, he ranks among the Top 10 in assists per game among NCAA freshmen.
Njie's selection marks the fifth consecutive season that an Iona player has been named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team. He is the 20th Gael to earn the honor in the program's 44-year history in the MAAC
