MRYTLE BEACH, SC - Iona men's golf team competed in their second event of the spring season over the past two days, The Gaels placed seventh out of 17 team with a team score of 12-over par. the event was originally scheduled for 36-holes yesterday and 18-holes today but due to weather on day one the event was changed to 36-holes.
Sean Richards posted his second top three finish of the year as he shot 4-under, 69 in both rounds he finished tied for second place and only one stroke back of the winner. Over the two days he rolled in 10 birdies and carded an eagle in his opening round.
Iona will host the annual Battle At Rum Pointe on March 28 & 29 in Berlin, MD with the course being Rum Pointe Seaside Links.
