BOSTON, MA -Â The Iona University women's indoor track team took on its second day of competitions on Sunday at the 2025 Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships in Boston. The Gaels counted four Maroon & Gold finishers in the 3000-meter run, while
Kiera Atkinson hauled in one point for Iona on the back of an eighth-place finish in the mile. With 10 points, the Gaels tied LIU and Bryant for 22nd place out of 31 competitors.
woMEN'SÂ Mile run FINAL
Kiera Atkinson competed in the Mile final, placing eighth and earning a time of 4:57.97. Atkinson earned a single point and set the 4:57 mark for the second time in as many days. Â
woMEN'SÂ 3000-meter run final
Four Gaels competed and finished in the 3000-meter final, with
Muireann Duffy being the first Iona representative across the line with a personal best time of 9:58.64 and finishing 13th.
Lucy Miller followed in 15th place, narrowly missing out on a sub-10 minute mile with a personal time of 10:00.04.
Kate Tugman (16th, 10:06.20) and
McKenna Arguien (18th, 10:07.94) completed the finishers list for Iona with the latter taking home a personal best. Â
