LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL - The Iona men's golf season came to an end with the Gaels finishing round three of the 2025 MAAC Championship in third place just five strokes back of the winners Fairifeld. Iona lead after two rounds at -3 under but a fellow up just short. All five Gaels finished in the top 35 with junior
Connor Henderson with a fourth place individual finish, the Oregon native was three under par just two strokes back of the lead.
As a team the Gaels recorded 46 birdies and two eagles over the three rounds. All five Gaels that competed where, Henderson,
Parker Smith,
Sean Richards,
Freddie Tucker, and
Sahir Balyan.
The MAAC championship is held in Lake Buena Vista, FL at the Disney complex, the course is the Disney's Magnolia Golf course sitting at 7099 yards for a par 72. The other MAAC schools include; Siena, Fairfield, Rider, Manhattan, Niagara, Canisius, St. Peter's, Mount St. Mary's, Sacred Heart, and Merrimack.
