CHERRY HILL, NJ- The Iona University Women's rowing team sent three boats to the 2025 MAAC Championships. This is the first time since 2016 that Iona Women's rowing have reached the MAAC Championships. They sent their Varsity 8+, 2nd Varsity 8+, and their Varsity 4+. The Gaels finished 8th tied with Drake on 11 points.
Varsity 8+
Iona's women's varsity 8 finished their heat posting a time of 07:14.744, just over half a minute out of first place. In their final, the Gaels posted a time of 07:05.899, finishing in second and less than three seconds out of first place.
2nd Varsity 8+
Iona's 2nd Varsity 8+ boat finished their final with a time of 08:02.217 coming in fourth place in their heat. In their final, a time of 07:52.622 was good enough for second place.
Varsity 4+
Iona's women's Varsity 4+ finished fifth in their heat with a time of 10:35.518, and were third in their final with a time of 11:44.144.
