PENNSAUKEN, NJ – The Iona University women's rowing team competed Saturday at the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta on Cooper River in Pennsauken, NJ. The Gaels raced in the Women's Varsity 8+ Petite Final and the Women's Second Varsity 8+ Final 2 against crews from across the region.
WOMEN'S VARSITY 8+
Iona placed seventh in the Women's Varsity 8+ Petite Final with a time of 7:03.50. Western Ontario won the race in 6:39.25 followed by La Salle in 6:41.47 and Georgetown in 6:43.76. Saint Joseph's placed fourth in 6:49.40, Monmouth crossed fifth in 6:58.65, and Merrimack finished sixth in 7:02.45.

WOMEN'S SECOND VARSITY 8+
Iona earned a third-place finish in the Women's Second Varsity 8+ Final 2 with a time of 8:08.78. Albany captured the race in 7:12.84 while La Salle finished second in 7:46.50. Merrimack crossed fourth in 8:21.34.
