PENNSAUKEN, NJ – The Iona University women's rowing team competed at the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta on Friday on the Cooper River in Pennsauken, NJ. The Gaels raced in the Varsity 8+ and Second Varsity 8+ events against a nationally competitive field.
WOMEN'S VARSITY 8+
TRIAL HEAT
The Gaels posted a time of 6:51.60 in the Women's Varsity 8+ trial race. Temple won the heat in 6:10.03, followed by MIT at 6:19.45 and Saint Joseph's at 6:19.60.

WOMEN'S SECOND VARSITY 8+
TRIAL HEAT
Iona recorded a time of 7:58.91 in the Women's Second Varsity 8+ trial race. Georgetown captured the heat in 6:24.12, while Temple finished second at 6:33.90 and Drexel placed third in 6:39.98.

WOMEN'S SECOND VARSITY 8+
SEMIFINAL 1
The Gaels returned in semifinal competition and posted a time of 8:34.57. Georgetown won the race in 6:42.31, followed by Monmouth at 7:11.68 and Saint Joseph's at 7:24.37.

Iona is back in action tomorrow at the 2026 Dad Vail Regatta in Pennsauken, NJ on the Cooper River for the V4+ petite finals for the V8+ at 12:30 p.m. and 2V8+ at 3:40 p.m.
