Iona MBB Adds Patrick Buckley and Parker Weiss to Staff

NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Iona University men's basketball head coach Dan Geriot announced the additions of Patrick Buckley as Director of Operations and Parker Weiss as Video Coordinator to the program's staff ahead of the 2025-26 season.

Both Buckley and Weiss have been instrumental behind the scenes for the program over the past two seasons, serving as graduate managers and supporting all facets of day-to-day operations. Their wide-ranging responsibilities included assisting with practice planning, travel logistics, team meals, scouting, game and practice film editing, game planning, equipment coordination, player scheduling, and overseeing team technology and analytics workflows.

Weiss, a familiar face within the program, was a four-year member of the Gaels, earning an athletics scholarship and serving as team captain as a senior. He graduated from Iona in 2023 with a degree in Business Administration and recently completed his MBA from Iona's LaPenta School of Business.

Buckley joined the Gaels after a successful four-year playing career at Catholic University, a Division III program in Washington, D.C., where he was a letterwinner. He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Catholic in 2023 and also completed his MBA at Iona.

"I've been incredibly impressed by the impact both Patrick and Parker have made during my first nine weeks on the job," said Geriot. "They've played a huge role in helping us stay organized, focused, and moving forward during this transition. Their work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to Iona Basketball are exactly what we need in these roles."

Buckley and Weiss join Geriot's staff that includes assistant coaches Patrick Wallace, Ronald Ramon, Kris Saulny, Michael Thompson, and general manager Craig Moore.
