HAMILTON, NY - The Iona men's golf team kicked off their 2025 season this weekend at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial Invitational, held September 6–7 at the challenging Seven Oaks Golf Club in Hamilton, New York. Hosted by Colgate University, the annual tournament marks the first test of the fall for the Gaels, they finished strong with the second best team score in round three and finished in sixth place out of fourteen teams.
Leading the Gaels at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial Invitational was senior
Connor Henderson, who delivered a standout performance to open the season. Henderson carded rounds of 72, 76, and a final-round 70 to finish at 2-over-par 218, securing a tie for 11th place in a highly competitive field.
