EDISON, NJ— The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced the 2026 Women's Basketball All-Academic Teams on Tuesday morning. The Iona University women's basketball program was represented with six student-athletes on this year's team.
A total of 76 student athletes were named to the MAAC Women's Basketball All-Academic team in 2026. To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.

Chloe Vasquez recieved their first All-Academic Team honors.
Merrimack and Saint Peter's University led the conference with nine selections to the academic team. The trio of Fairfield, Marist, and Quinnipiac placed eight honorees, followed by Canisius University with seven. The duo of Iona and Mount St. Mary's added six student-athletes to the squad and Sacred Heart was next with five selections. Rounding out the all-academic lineup were Manhattan (4), Niagara (3), Rider (2) and Siena (1).
Iona begins the 2026 Air Force Reserve MAAC Women's Basketball Championship on Saturday, March 7 in the quarterfinals against five-seed Siena. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ at noon and fans can follow along from Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall via live stats.
