Cartieaux, Fagan Deliver for Iona MOTF at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Iona University men's outdoor track and field team competed Thursday at the Penn Relays, held at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, PA, highlighted by strong performances in two distance events.

Freshman Baptiste Cartieaux placed 15th in the 3000-meter steeplechase, crossing in 8:52.78. Cartieaux finished just shy of his personal best, but the time still stands among the top 10 in program history and ranks as the second-fastest mark in the MAAC this season behind his own conference-leading time.

The performance marked a personal best by 17 seconds compared to his time at the Penn Relays in 2024 and currently ranks as the second-fastest time in the MAAC this season behind teammate Ollie Boltz.
