PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Iona University men's outdoor track and field team competed Thursday at the Penn Relays, held at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, PA, highlighted by strong performances in two distance events.
3000-METER STEEPLECHASE
Freshman
Baptiste Cartieaux placed 15th in the 3000-meter steeplechase, crossing in 8:52.78. Cartieaux finished just shy of his personal best, but the time still stands among the top 10 in program history and ranks as the second-fastest mark in the MAAC this season behind his own conference-leading time.
5,000-METER RUN
Junior
Scott Fagan delivered a standout effort in the 5,000-meter run, placing 27th in 14:05.75. The performance marked a personal best by 17 seconds compared to his time at the Penn Relays in 2024 and currently ranks as the second-fastest time in the MAAC this season behind teammate
Ollie Boltz.
