Five Iona Men's Golf Student-Athletes Named 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars

NORMAN, OK- Five members of the Iona University men's golf program were recognized for their excellence in the classroom and on the course, earning 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

Senior Connor Henderson, juniors Sahir Balyan and Sean Richards, and sophomores Freddie Tucker and Ryan Slevcove represented the Maroon & Gold on this year's list.
The Gaels were among 649 NCAA Division I student-athletes from 210 institutions to receive the prestigious recognition. Iona was one of just 23 Division I programs nationwide to have at least five student-athletes earn Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors.

To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically and athletically, compete in at least 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, maintain a stroke average below 76.0, and hold a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.2. Recipients must also demonstrate high moral character and remain in good standing at their institution.

The recognition adds to another successful season for the Gaels, who captured the 2026 MAAC Championship and advanced to NCAA Regional competition, while continuing to excel academically.
